Information communication technologies play a role in facilitating accelerated pluralism in new social movements today. The internet according to Bruce Bimber is "accelerating the process of issue group formation and action"and coined the term accelerated pluralism to explain this new phenomena. ICTs are tools for "enabling social movement leaders and empowering dictators" in effect promoting societal change. ICTs can be used to garner grassroots support for a cause due to the internet allowing for political discourse and direct interventions with state policy as well as change the way complaints from the populace are handled by governments. Furthermore, ICTs in a household are associated with women rejecting justifications for intimate partner violence. 
           According to a study published in 2017, this is likely because “access to ICT  exposes women to different ways of life and different notions about women’s role in society and the ho Favorably, the gap between the access to the Internet and mobile coverage has decreased substantially in the last fifteen years, in which "2015 was the deadline for achievements of the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which global leaders agreed upon in the year 2000, and the new data show ICT progress and highlight remaining gaps."ICT continues to take on new form, with nanotechnology set to usher in a new wave of ICT electronics and gadgets. ICT newest editions into the modern electronic world include smart watches, such as the Apple Watch, smart wristbands such as the Nike+ FuelBand, and smart TVs such as Google TV. With desktops soon becoming part of a bygone era, and laptops becoming the preferred method of computing, ICT continues to insinuate and alter itself in the ever-changing globeusehold, especially in culturally conservative regions where traditional gender expectations contrast observed alternatives."

In modern society ICT is ever-present, with over three billion people having access to the Internet. With approximately 8 out of 10 Internet users owning a smartphone, information and data are increasing by leaps and bounds.This rapid growth, especially in developing countries, has led ICT to become a keystone of everyday life, in which life without some facet of technology renders most of clerical, work and routine tasks dysfunctional. The most recent authoritative data, released in 2014, shows "that Internet use continues to grow steadily, at 6.6% globally in 2014 (3.3% in developed countries, 8.7% in the developing world); the number of Internet users in developing countries has doubled in five years (2009-2014), with two thirds of all people online now living in the developing world."

 A MoU has been signed between AICTE (Through MHRD) and the British
Council during the month of November 2016 to upload the online material developed under the E-QUAL
project on the SWAYAM portal developed by MHRD and AICTE. British Council will work as a Coordinator
with AICTE and promote SWAYAM portal to the U.K. Universities and encourage U.K. Universities to
share their online education resources on the SWAYAM portal and devising a mechanism for credit
transfer through jointly conducting a series of capacity development workshops for creation and
delivery of MOOCs through SWAYAM. E-QUAL in partnership with AICTE had conducted “Teacher
Training Workshop” on 15th & 16th March 2017 at AICTE HQ, New Delhi wherein the participants at UG
faculty level attended. In addition to this, British Council has conducted seven regional workshops on “E-
Learning: Challenges and Opportunities” across the Country followed by a National Seminar “Policy
Dialogue on “Quality and Governance of ICT enabled education” on 11th May, 2017 at New Delhi.
Similar other requests are being received by AICTE/ MHRD from various other agencies both in India and
abroad for creating of e-contents/non-credit on line courses to be uploaded on SWAYAM Platform
which are under consideration.

COURSES ON SWAYAM PLATFORM The institutes need to provide a scanned copy of approval by
AICTE/UGC or any authorized body of Govt. of India. Documents need to be sent on emailId
“Support@swayam.gov.in”. After receiving the required documents, support team will review and add
the Institute on SWAYAM Platform. Course completion certification/Credit transfer will be available
after the completion of Phase-2 of SWAYAM Project. CONSTITUTION OF SWAYAM BOARD (SB) MHRD
vide letter No.8-1/2015-TEL, dated 13th April, 2017 has constituted SWAYAM Board (SB) consisting of
administrators, reputed academicians and technical experts to administer/oversee the SWAYAM and
the SWAYAM Prabha platforms. It would be responsible for laying down the policy regarding the
technical aspects of both SWAYAM and the SWAYAM Prabha including quality of content and its
translation into regional languages etc.

DEVELOPMENT OF “SWAYAM” PLATFORM BACKGROUND SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for
Young Aspiring Minds) Platform is indigenously developed by Ministry of Human Resource Development
(MHRD) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) with the help M/s. Microsoft Corporation
India (Pvt.) Ltd. (MCIPL) for hosting Massive Open On-line courses (MOOCs) to achieve three cardinal
principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity, and quality. The objective of this effort is to take the
best teaching learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged. SWAYAM seeks to bridge the
digital divide for students who have hitherto remained untouched by the digital revolution and have not
been able to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy. SWAYAM would be ultimately capable of
hosting 2000 courses and 80000 hours of learning: covering school, under-graduate, post-graduate,
engineering, law and other professional courses. SWAYAM is a One-stop web and mobile based
interactive e-content for all courses from High School to University level; High quality learning
experience using multimedia on anytime, anywhere basis; State of the art system that allows easy
access, monitoring and certification; Peer Group interaction and discussion forum to clarify doubts and
Hybrid model of delivery that adds to the quality of classroom teaching. The Platform facilitates hosting
of all the courses, taught in classrooms from 9th class till post-graduation to be accessed by anyone,
anywhere at any time, prepared by the best teachers in the country, free of cost to the residents in India
for learning any type of Course. The soft launch of “SWAYAM MOOCs” Platform was held on 15th
August, 2016 and after completion of first phase of the Project, the Platform has been declared “go live”
w.e.f. 16th November, 2016. VISION To host more than 10000 online Courses through SWAYAM
platform for 30 million learners/students starting from 9th class till post-graduation. SWAYAM ANDROID
MOBILE APP/GOOGLE PLAY/IOS SWAYAM is available through Android Mobile app/Google Play/IOS
which can be downloaded by anyone aspiring to pursue higher studies through MOOCs and get
registered as learner or a Student for any course starting from 9th class till post-graduation.

17.12.2016 அன்று press club of Kanyakumari நடத்திய இலக்கிய போட்டிகளில் கலந்து கொண்டேன்.அதனில் சிறுமை கண்டு சீறி எழு பெண்ணே எனும் தலைப்பில் கவிதை போட்டிக்கு 2ம் பரிசு பெற்றேன்.

30.01.2017 செவ்வாய் கிழமை எங்கள் கல்லூரியில் இலக்கிய மன்றவிழா நடைபெற்றது அதனில் கலந்து கொண்டேன்.

வட அமெரிக்காவில் ஒரு பறவை இனம் அழிந்து வந்தது. அதை பாதுகாக்க அந்த நாட்டு அரசாங்கம் முடிவு செய்தது. அதற்காக உயிரியல் பூங்காவில் தனியாக ஒரு அறை அமைக்கப்பட்டு பாதுகாக்கப்பட்டது. அந்த பறவைக்கு தனி பாதுகாவலர், தனி உணவு அதற்கு தேவையான அனைத்து வசதிகளும் செய்து தரப்பட்டது. கோடை காலத்தை சமாளிக்க தனியாக குளிர் அறையும் அமைக்கப்பட்டது. பறவை இனம் பெருகியது. பின்னர் வெளி உலகத்துக்கு சுதந்திரமாக விடப்பட்டது. அதற்கு தன் எதிரிகள் யார் என்று தெரியவில்லை. எதிரிகளுக்கு உணவானது. மின் கம்பங்களில் எப்படி அமர்வது என்று தெரியவில்லை. பறவைகள் அழிய தொடங்கின (எதிரிகளுக்கு உணவாகி, மின் கம்பங்களில் கருகி, வண்டிகளில் மோதியும்). எந்த இனம் அழிய கூடாது என்று எடுக்கப்பட்ட முயற்சி, அந்த இனம் அழிய காரணம் ஆனது. அதே போல் தான் நம் பிள்ளைகளும், நமக்கு கிடைக்கவில்லை என்று எண்ணி நம் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு கொடுத்து அழகு பார்க்கிறோம், அழிவுக்கு உறுதுணையாய் இருக்கிறோம். பூங்காவில் இருக்கும் விலங்குக்கு வேட்டையாட தெரியாது. அதே போல் தான் அதிகம் செல்லம் கொடுக்கும் பிள்ளைகளால் தோல்விகளை தாங்க முடியாது. பிள்ளைகளை வெளி உலகத்தை தானாக உணர வழி விடுங்கள். நல்லது கெட்டதை தானாக காற்றுக் கொள்ளட்டும். நம் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு அதிகம் செல்லம் கொடுத்து விட்டோம், அவன்/அவள் வெளி உலகத்தை எப்படி சமாளிக்க போகிறார்கள் என்ற ஐயம் உங்களுக்கு வேண்டாம். நீங்கள் கற்று கொடுக்க மறந்த இந்த பாடத்தை இந்த சமூகம் மற்றும் இயற்கை கற்றுக் கொடுக்கும் எப்படி எனக்கும், என்னை போல் பலருக்கும் கற்றுக் கொடுத்து போல. இதை தான் ஆங்கிலேயத்தில் survival of fittest என்று சொல்லுகிறோம். அதை நோக்கித்தான் எல்லா மானிட பிறவிகளும் ஓடிக்கொண்டு இருக்கின்றன. வாழ்க்கையில் வருகிற ஒவ்வொரு பாடங்களும் நம்மை சீராக்கி துப்புரவு படுத்தி சுத்தமாக்கவே. எந்த பிரட்சனையையும் கணாமல் பொத்தி பொத்தி வளர்க்கப்படுகிரவங்க என்ராவது கண்டிப்பா முழு சுதந்திரம் கிடைக்கும்போது காலம் கடந்த பின்னே தவறான பாதையில் சென்று சிக்கி அதிலேயே மாண்டு போவார்கள். இது உண்மை! இந்த உலகம் இது போன்றவர்களை தான் ஏற்று கடைசியில் ஏமார்ந்து போகிறது! #ஆனால்_பல_நேரம்_இந்த_உலகம்_கற்றுணர்ந்தவர்களை_ஏற்பதில்லை
